self reflect

woots! its a whole new year!!
HAPPY 2013 EVERYONE!!:D
who knew,  "dooms day"the was the talk of the town for the past 2 years ended up proven to be nothing but a scam!
not that i actually believed in it whole heartedly, but a part of me have always wondered if it was true and how that day would be like when it came.
seems like, the day went by just like any other day!
everyone survived! :D

wells, 2012.. like any other year, there is bound to be many ups and downs.
afterall, it is possible to even say that for a time period of 24 hours,
much less 365 days right?

Academically wise,
i must say, i really surprise myself and did better than i expected for the past 2 semesters in 2012.
entering Electrical Electronics Engineering in NTU, being my very last choice and options to enter a local government school,
having it well known to be one of the toughest courses out there,
and considering my ultra demoralising setback of Alevels results,
I honestly never expected myself to do well in EEE.
entering uni, all i told myself was to do my best and survive the best i could.

but with the current results that i have right now,
i must say, i really cant believe myself.
its not exceptionally fantastic,
but i am very contented with what i am achieving right now.
better yet, i have managed to pull my GPA since the start of uni till now,
be it by leaps or by inches,
improvements are all I'm looking for!^^

to be honest,
i felt like a fish above water last semester.
i was literally struggling to survive.
each course that i took,
either it was a serious time consumer (with the loads of reports or project work)
or it was a serious brain wrecker!
i could hardly find myself breathing!
it was so horrible that i was even contemplating to MC my circuit core module!
i refused to give up and kept mugging for it,
but even till the night before, i could grasp the concept and literally gave up and was set on MC-ing the next day paper.
but thank god as i walked past my fellow triple e neighbour,
she encouraged me to take the paper, saying that everyone would die in there together and there was bellcurve!:P
thankgod i persevered and took the exam!
i did not do well at all, but it was still above expectation,
considering i was afraid i'd fail!:(
my maths was a disappointment though!
felt the paper was a simple and standard one,
but i didnt do well!:(

however, my other 2 core modules,
i did exceptionally well!!:D
not to mention my natural hazard elective!
i think this is the first sem i have the most amount of A grades!
but cos of my circuit, it prevented my GPA from improving by a whole lot,
instead only by 0.02! hahaha!
but even just maintaining my current GPA score,
i'd be as happy as can be! that 0.02 GPA was a real bonus!xD

the last semester,
i finally found myself finding some closer friends in hall,
finally felt more inclusive in this hall life of mine!
with mathea being my roomie as well,
hall life was wayyy more fun for me towards the 2nd half of 2012!
but this also meant an extra distraction!:(
probably a reason why i felt like i was struggling in last sem too huh!:P
but im still glad,
my results were not compromised for this reason,
though i really thought it would have been!><

i guess my relationship with my mum is also getting better in a way?
or at least my mum starts seeing me to be a better girl now i guess? haha
she got me a christmas gift on the recent christmas and said i have been a good girl this year!:P
except for some times still though!:P hahaha!
but i guess i cant say the same for my dad...:/
i still hardly see him around.
even right now,
i dont even wanna begin talking about him and ruining this awesome start of the year.><


its the hols now and i've been so fully immersed in all kinds of different sports trainings,
be it for inter hall or inter faculty competitions, such that i barely had much time to do any others.
but i also have been watching running man! haha!
i started off with the reason being i had to do up proposal for my hall's Freshie's orientation camp and the theme was game show.
me, being the orientation games programmer, had to get some ideas off running man.
but now im just stucked to it!:P

well,
i just spent new year's eve and christmas eve at my grandmas' place with my relatives and it was FUN!:D
its really awesome having 12 cousins in my family!
even when not full headcount present,
there are still always enough people to keep us entertained!:P

well i would say,
overall, 2012 was an awesome year for me.
and i hope 2013 gets better from here!
havent really been someone who sets new year resolutions,
but i do wish i keep working harder and achieve more,
in terms of academically, socially and character wise! ;)
